This past May  in Lakeland, FL the Mo Steel Seniors finished off their banner season with yet another championship. This time, the Seniors, who are known for their tireless work ethic and incredible competitive spirit, won the 13U and 14U divisions at the 4on4 Let it Fly National Championships. "No team could match our teams intensity Sunday, we are sharp, poised and confident" said Coach David Fried. "I am so proud of this group."

The Mo Steel Juniors had a great weekend as well. They earned the number 2 seed in a tough division and came up a little short in the Semi-Finals. Their future is bright.

Mo Steel back from Japan

SCRAP BOOK

Mo Steel Travel just got home from a two week "Journey to Japan." Mo Steel and the Japan Flag Football Federation which invited us, planned this Goodwill Tour for two years in an effort for Japanese kids to learn football from the best program in America while at the same time having a wonderful cultural exchange between American and Japanese children. Mo Steel played 40 games and ran clinics all over the country. "This experience was the best ever, it beats any championship," said Head Coach David Fried. Five junior players, 8 senior players and 5 vet players joined Coach Fried, Program Manager Mitch Grabios, Team Manager Steve Silvers and other parents in Japan. "We gave back in a big way," said Fried "not only as flag football players, but Americans as well." Team USA/ Mo Steel also toured Japan doing activities such as watching Sumo Wrestling, a baseball game in the Tokyo Dome, visiting the Nissan Factory and so much more. Passover Seder was held at the Chabad of Tokyo. To view pictures, see video and read our daily journal, please visit our scrapbook (link above).

MO STEEL STRIKES AGAIN IN NY!

Mo Steel Seniors at Ground Zero

Mo Steel at Times Square

The Mo Steel Seniors captured their first ever Indoor National Championship January 27th at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Mo Steel went 5-0 including a come from behind victory with 10 seconds to go in the first game versus the former NFL National Champions and former Team USA. "The competition was first class," said coach David Fried, "we needed to play our very best to win this event, and we did." Their were 12 teams in their division, all of whom were worthy of winning the tournament.  Mo Steel shut out 3 teams on its way to the title.  Video from Mo Steel films will be available soon.

Congratulations!
